DAPP Zimbabwe hosts Danish delegation for Monitoring and Evaluation on CISU-funded projects.

DAPP Zimbabwe recently hosted a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) delegation for projects funded by Civil Society in Development (CISU) through UFF-Humana. The delegation included Country Director Else Hanne Henriksen and Greta Lupieri, Proposal Writer in the Humana Partnership Team in Europe.

They duo arrived on 7 April 2026 and departed on 16 April 2026. During their visit, they toured project sites in Manicaland (Chimanimani District) and Mashonaland Central (Bindura District). Key initiatives reviewed included the Farmers’ Clubs Chimanimani Project and the Youth Economic Empowerment project in rural Bindura. They also assessed progress ahead of the Farmers’ Clubs Gutu Project, set to launch in May 2026.

The mission focused on assessing progress, engaging stakeholders and beneficiaries and identifying opportunities to strengthen impact. Fieldwork began on the 8th of April in Chimanimani, with visits to Wards 13 and 21 and consultations with local authorities. The team then travelled to Mashonaland Central, visiting project sites in Nyava (Ward 15) and Jacha (Ward 18) in Bindura.

Else Hanne expressed appreciation for seeing the projects firsthand and emphasized the importance of supporting farmers to secure fair market value. Greta Lupieri shared her excitement after interacting with the youth in Bindura and highlighted the potential impact of the Youth Economic Empowerment, Advocacy and Entrepreneurship project in the district.

The delegation identified key gaps and opportunities to inform future programming and fundraising. DAPP Zimbabwe Country Director Luckson Soda noted that M&E missions strengthen accountability and provide deeper insight into project impact, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to sustainable development and continued collaboration with partners.
